Early start

Getting ready for my class. 2 hours before expected start gives me the opportunity to prepare creative slides and to get my mind settled into the business of the day.

I enjoy what I do and I find that the more I do it, the more I want to do! Fingers crossed, we are going to have 'fun' learning today.

How to Spot a Rich Guy?

I'm taking a break from reading a rather large book and decided to do an image search on Google on the word RICH...for absolutely no reason at all.

This image caught my attention, not because I found it amusing, but because it made me laugh, yes, until I started to 'unpack' the reason for my laughter. Then it made me sober.

Stere0typing is something no-one will own up to doing but here it is...a fat guy walking hand in hand with a 'hot' girl...it has to be that she's there for the money, right? Surely, his size excludes him from being loved by someone with a lower BMI? Of course not!

A picture may be worth 1000 words, but we need to check our visual filters regularly to make sure we are seeing right :-)

Real Love

I heard the most moving love story today. A Christian friend lost his young wife early this year. He said that 5 months before he married her, he knew by revelation she had only 5 more years to live. He married her anyway and they had a wonderful time together. When the time came, it hurt more than he imagined, but he valued the time they had together.

He got me thinking about the true nature of love - pure and undiluted, unconditional. Its a powerful moving force that can't be ignored.

WOW!

I dont know about anyone else but I am excited about 2010...another 12 months into my future, which the Word of God assures me will get progressively brighter as long as I remain connected to the Vine.

I had two opportunities to participate in the new year countdown - first in the plane when it was midnight UK time, and just a few hours ago in a church in Las Vegas.

Also managed to cram in two short appearances at parties - one 'high brow' piano music in the background type, and the other a loud pumping writhing and grinding type...dont ask!

I am now ready so sleep at least a 12hr stretch, as I explain to my body how she has to get used to the fact that after traveling almost 12 hours in a plane, she is now 8 hours in the past...lol
